Access Import History#

Go to Admin → Course Management → Import History.

Understanding Import Statuses#

StatusMeaning
PendingThe package has been uploaded and is queued for processing
ProcessingSkillStream is validating and unpacking the content
DraftImport completed — the course is saved as a draft, not yet published
PublishedImport completed and the course has been published
FailedImport encountered an error; see the error details below

View Error Details#

If an import shows Failed:

  1. Click the import row to expand it.

  2. Read the Error message. Common causes:

    • Invalid manifest: The SCORM imsmanifest.xml or xAPI tincan.xml is missing, malformed, or references files that don't exist in the zip.
    • Unsupported SCORM version: The package uses SCORM 2004 4th edition, which is not yet supported. Re-export using SCORM 2004 3rd edition or SCORM 1.2.
    • File too large: The upload exceeded the 500 MB limit. Compress videos or split the course into multiple modules.
    • Corrupt zip: The archive was damaged in transit. Re-export and upload again.
  3. Fix the underlying issue in your authoring tool and start a new import.

Re-import a Package#

Import History does not support retrying a failed import with the same file. Start a new import from Admin → Course Management → Import Course.

Open the Resulting Course#

For successful imports, click View course in the import row to jump directly to the course editor.

Use the search bar to filter by course name or importer (the admin who initiated the import). Use the Status filter to show only failed or pending imports.

Retention Policy#

Import history records are kept for 12 months. After that, the record is removed, but the course itself (if imported successfully) remains unaffected.
