A learning path is an ordered collection of courses that learners must complete in sequence. Use learning paths to model onboarding programs, compliance curricula, or structured skill progressions where each course builds on the last.

Create a Learning Path#

  1. Go to Admin → Course Management → Learning Paths.
  2. Click Create learning path.
  3. Enter a Title (required) and Description.
  4. Upload a Cover image (recommended: 1280 × 720 px).
  5. Set the Category and Access type (open enrollment or admin-only).
  6. Click Save draft.

Add Courses to the Path#

  1. On the learning path editor, click Add course.
  2. Search for and select a published course.
  3. Repeat to add all courses in the desired order.
  4. Drag course cards to reorder them.

Each course in the path becomes a "step". Learners see all steps listed but can only access a step after completing the previous one (sequential enforcement is on by default).

Configure Each Step#

Click the icon on any course step to configure:

SettingDescription
RequiredToggle off to make a step optional — learners can skip it and still complete the path
Minimum scoreOverride the course's passing score for this path context
Deadline offsetNumber of days after enrollment before this step is due (e.g., Step 1 due in 7 days, Step 2 in 14 days)

Publish the Learning Path#

  1. Click Publish when the path is ready.
  2. The path appears in the course library and can be assigned by admins.

Enroll Learners in a Learning Path#

Learning paths are enrolled the same way as individual courses:

  1. Click Enroll learners on the learning path page.
  2. Select users, groups, or departments.
  3. Set an overall deadline (optional — overrides per-step deadline offsets).
  4. Click Enroll.

Learners see the full path with step-by-step progress in their dashboard.

Track Learning Path Progress#

Go to Admin → Enrollments and filter by the learning path to see per-learner progress. The enrollment record shows:

  • Overall path completion percentage
  • Which step each learner is currently on
  • Step-level completion status and scores

Edit a Published Learning Path#

You can add, remove, or reorder courses in a published path at any time. Changes affect learners who have not yet started the modified steps. Learners who have already completed a removed step retain their completion credit.

Archive or Delete a Learning Path#

  • Archive — hides the path from the library but preserves all enrollment records and completions.
  • Delete — permanently removes the path. Existing enrollment records are not deleted, but learners lose access to the path view.

To archive: ⋮ More actions → Archive.
